Ransom Canyon Cancelled by Netflix After Two Seasons
Netflix has ended its run of Ransom Canyon after two seasons, shocking fans of the show. News of the cancellation broke on September 10, 2026.
According to Deadline, the series was on the bubble last year but was renewed for a second season. However, despite a creative improvement in season 2, which was internally better received, the streamer decided not to pick up the show for a third installment.
The show's viewing numbers declined significantly from its 2025 premiere to season 2's release in July, dropping by 43%. While season 1 remained in Netflix's weekly Top 10 for four weeks, season 2 only held its place for three.
Ransom Canyon was based on Jodi Thomas' book series, following the lives of residents in a small town.
