Alix Earle Addresses Alex Cooper Drama in Netflix Reality Series
Alix Earle opens up to TheWrap about her decision to confront the online feud with former boss, Alex Cooper, in her new Netflix reality series, "Earle Meets World."
"I wanted her to take up not one bit of this series," says Earle, "then the Coachella thing happened. It unfolded in real time, and it was like, at this point, I’ve got to lean into this."
The social media star recalls Cooper publicly shaming her on TikTok, which prompted her to change course. She had initially hoped to keep her experience at Unwell out of the series but felt compelled to share the truth after seeing the online whispers and even a "Saturday Night Live" parody.
Earle reveals she learned about her departure from Unwell through press reports, with no direct communication from Cooper or the network. She expresses frustration over how Cooper exploited her admiration for him while she started her podcast without proper resources.
"I cared less about the profits and more about how he took advantage of my admiration toward the podcast superstar," Earle states.
The series teases the drama in the premiere, but the full extent is revealed in the season finale, where Earle confronts Cooper directly after seeing his TikTok on her final day at Coachella.
