Robert Langdon is returning to the screen! Netflix announced on Friday, September 4, that production has begun in Prague on an untitled series based on Dan Brown's The Secret of Secrets.
Behind-the-Scenes Look
The streamer shared a behind-the-scenes photo of lead actors Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall on set.
- Morgan Spector, known for The Gilded Age, will portray Harvard professor and symbologist Robert Langdon.
- Rebecca Hall will play scientist Katherine Solomon.
New Cast Announced
Netflix also revealed five new recurring cast members:
- Mamoudou Athie as Michael Harris
- Ben Levi Ross as Alex Conan
- Anamaria Marinca as Dr. Gessner
- Richard Sammel as Karl Muller
- Elena Saurel as Susan Housemore

The series will follow Langdon as he races to rescue a missing scientist and recover her groundbreaking manuscript, which could alter humanity's understanding of the mind. Brown's novel blends futuristic science with mystical lore, delivering on the suspense and intrigue that has made Langdon stories a global phenomenon.
Netflix's Adaptation:
According to Netflix, the adaptation will combine science and lore, following the international intrigue and historical mysteries from Brown's novels. Carlton Cuse and Dan Brown co-created the series. Cuse, known for Lost, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Locke & Key, Bates Motel, and Five Days at Memorial, will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
Dan Brown's novels have sold over 250 million copies in 56 languages. Tom Hanks portrayed Langdon in the movie adaptations of The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and Inferno, which collectively grossed $2.24 billion worldwide.
Netflix has not yet released an official title or premiere date for the series.
