NFL Fans Bash Netflix Stream Audio During Rams vs. 49ers Game: 'It's Almost Unwatchable'

The 2026 NFL season kickoff continues on Thursday with the first international game of the season in Australia, though many fans have been complaining about a specific aspect of the Netflix stream.
After Wednesday’s first game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, the Los Angeles Rams headed Down Under to take on the San Francisco 49ers. While most NFL games are aired on Fox or CBS networks, Thursday night’s game was streamed live for Netflix—with some very noticeable audio issues.
Many users took to Twitter to express their frustration with the muted sound and visual quality.
"@netflix the audio on the game sucks," complained user @BigGreek77. "Does anyone else have this problem? Just sounds like I’m watching an old school video game."
"Netflix audio and video quality of Niners vs Rams game is genuinely dogs—t bro," chimed in @HoodiGarland.
Another user, @BryanGStampede, described the audio as "dogs—t" and noted that everything sounded delayed, making the game nearly unwatchable.
"The Netflix crowd noise for this Rams/49ers game sounds like the tornado scene from The Wizard of Oz," tweeted Harrison Carroll (@HCarroll_11).
