Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, which boasts a 7.6-inch diagonal screen when opened up. And Netflix is on board.

Netflix is among the partners who have collaborated with Apple to redesign their iOS apps for the iPhone Duo's larger screen, offering an "immersive, big-screen feeling".

A company spokesperson shared:

"When members use Netflix on iOS, they want that same immersive, big-screen feeling to travel with them."

Details on Netflix’s Duo-optimized App:

Billboard:

The app features a revamped Billboard, complete with "dynamic visual effects enhanced by the display".

Clips:

The vertical video feed, Clips, takes advantage of the device's wide screen for seamless switching between vertical and horizontal viewing.

Playback:

Netflix has redesigned the player for better controls that adapt to various watching positions – full screen, folded, or propped up. A "subtle, reflective glow" responds to ambient light and device angle.

Pricing & Availability:

The iPhone Duo is priced starting at $1,999 with 256GB storage and goes up to $3,199 for a 2TB model. Preorders begin October 16, with shipping on October 23.
