Netflix is making significant changes to its creative leadership, marking the end of an era for Netflix movies.

In the wake of recent job cuts, with around 1,000 employees laid off, the streamer is reportedly restructuring at the top. This includes the departure of Netflix's head of film, Dan Lin, who has been responsible for movies like Apex, The Rip, and Remarkably Bright Creatures.

According to Variety, Lin's exit is part of a major creative overhaul after months of engagement issues and stock stagnation.

Despite overseeing several Netflix hits in recent years, including Here Comes the Flood, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, and Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, Lin is already gone. Two of his former Warner Bros. colleagues, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, both former heads of the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, are rumored to be joining Netflix as part of this creative shake-up.

Lin's ouster comes as Netflix tries to adapt to a changing entertainment landscape.
