Mr. T, the legendary figure of professional wrestling and acting, has expressed his dissatisfaction with Netflix's new biographical documentary, "Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool." Premiering on Tuesday, the documentary delves into his life and career, but Mr. T believes it misrepresents his character.
In an interview with the Guardian, the 74-year-old icon reveals he was not shown the final cut of the documentary, which he began cooperating on in April 2025. Instead, he learned about its content from media reports. Mr. T takes issue with the portrayal of his persona as solely a ruthless tough guy, a stereotype he feels does not do justice to his multifaceted life and career.
"Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool" explores Mr. T's journey from his humble beginnings to his iconic status in the wrestling ring and beyond, including his memorable image on cereal boxes, lunchboxes, and T-shirts. However, Mr. T's perspective on the documentary remains unchanged.
