Netflix confirms The Inbetweeners 3 is officially happening. The streaming platform announced on September 7 that a third film is currently filming, with the original cast and creative team returning.

- Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas will reprise their roles as Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright, Neil Sutherland, and Simon Cooper.
- Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are back to write and direct.

Background
The Inbetweeners began as a British coming-of-age TV show that aired for three seasons from 2008 to 2010 on Channel 4. The sitcom followed Will and his friends navigating school life, friendship, and failed sexual encounters. An American spinoff was also released in 2012.
The franchise expanded with The Inbetweeners Movie in 2011, followed by The Inbetweeners 2 in 2014.
"It’s been super-fun hanging out with our friends again," said Beesley and Morris in a statement in the Netflix news release. "And we’re going to work hard every week to ensure there are no problemos making this new film for humans."
