JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has some of the greatest openings in anime history. From Sono Chi no Sadame to Bloody Stream and Heaven's Falling Down, every song in the series is a certifiable banger. Steel Ball Run's soundtrack immediately gripped fans, but in typical JJBA fashion, episode 1 did not include the new anime's opening theme. In anticipation of SBR's comeback, Netflix has released the first opening for the anime.
Steel Ball Run Opening 1 is a flashy opening featuring gorgeous animation that perfectly emulates Araki's art style, while overflowing with the color and style audiences have come to expect from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The opening features tons of hints at what's to come and Easter eggs to catch for manga readers.
SBR's opening theme is fittingly titled "SPIN" by the Japanese band Kroi.
Release Dates and Episode Information:
- September 25, 2026: Episodes 2 through 11 will release exclusively on Netflix.
- All ten episodes are expected to drop at 1 a.m. PDT / 4 a.m. EST / 5 p.m. JST.
- The second batch of episodes will adapt the 2nd and 3rd Stages of the race from the manga.
- Steel Ball Run Episode 11 should theoretically bring the anime up to Chapter 32 of the manga, meaning the third batch of episodes will open with True Man's World.
