Netflix Acquires Rights to Adapt 'Lonesome Dove'
Netflix has announced a straight-to-series order for a new Lonesome Dove adaptation! Hailing from Zoe Kazan and Jeb Stuart, who will serve as co-showrunners, the streamer won the project following a highly competitive bidding war on the series adaptation of Larry McMurtry's Pulitzer Prize-winning western novel.
What is 'Lonesome Dove' About?
Gus McCrae and Woodrow Call renew their spirit of adventure as they face an uncertain future, embarking on one final, perilous cattle drive from the Rio Grande to the untamed wilderness of Montana in pursuit of a dream that they have perhaps already outlived. Kazan and Stuart Reunite
Zoe and Jeb are reuniting after recently co-showrunning the upcoming East of Eden limited series adaptation.
