Netflix Halts Production on 'Wednesday' Season 3
Netflix's Wednesday has reportedly paused its Season 3 production, with star Jenna Ortega off set, according to The Sun. The move follows a previous delay this year due to script concerns.
Script Rewrites Cause Production Halt
A source close to the production revealed that the latest interruption centers on "some questions asked over the writing and the storylines involved in the latest scripts." The source emphasized that these issues "can't be ironed out in post-production," indicating a need for significant changes before filming can resume.
Previous Delays and Changes
This isn't the first time Wednesday has faced production setbacks. Season 2 filming was interrupted in 2023 due to the Hollywood writers' strikes, affecting shows across the industry. Additionally, the series lost actress Thora Birch during that period, who exited due to a family illness. Her character, Tamara Novak, was subsequently written out of the series.
The Future of 'Wednesday'
Given the significant delays and creative shifts, fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the show's progress. With Wednesday having become a notable part of Netflix's lineup, any production changes generate considerable interest.
