Since 2004, Netflix (NFLX -1.91%) stock has dropped 35% or more from a high six times, and history suggests a familiar narrative: every round trip ended at a new high — eventually.

The duration of these recovery periods varies considerably. Some took as little as about 11 months, while others spanned over four years.

This time around, things are slightly different. Unlike past bottoms where Netflix's business was struggling, the streaming giant's operations are setting records. Forecasts indicate that operating income could grow more than 20% in 2026.

Currently, shares trade near $78, approximately 38% below the 52-week high of $124.86 reached last October.
