Netflix Viewers Left Screaming Over ‘Unsettling’ New Crime Thriller
Netflix viewers are hooked on the spine-chilling new crime thriller, The Whisper Man, and it’s guaranteed to have you glued to your screens for every second of its two-hour runtime. Based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Alex North, the film follows a recently widowed father who becomes entangled in a terrifying child abduction case linked to a notorious serial killer.
What is The Whisper Man About?
The film follows widowed crime writer Tom (Adam Scott), who reunites with his estranged ex-cop dad, Pete (Robert De Niro), after his eight-year-old son is abducted.
"When his eight-year-old son is abducted, a widowed crime writer looks to his estranged father, a retired former police detective, for help, only to discover a connection with the decades-old case of a convicted serial killer known as ‘The Whisper Man.’"

Cast and Crew
Robert De Niro (The Irishman, Killers of the Flower Moon) stars as Pete Willis, alongside Adam Scott (Severance, Big Little Lies) as Tom Kennedy and Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone, The White Lotus) as detective Amanda Beck. Rounding out the main cast are Hamish Linklater, Owen Teague, Acston Luca Porto, and Will Brill.
