‘Shrek 5’ Netflix Release Window, Explained
Universal Pictures has a partnership with streaming services Peacock and Netflix. The agreement states that films will stay in theaters for up to 120 days before moving to Peacock for four months. After that, Netflix acquires the license for 10 months, followed by another run on Peacock.
Based on this arrangement, Shrek 5, scheduled for June 30, 2027, will likely arrive on Peacock around November 27, 2027. It will then be available on Netflix from March 26, 2028.
