Netflix Roulette
Netflix prepares to release Mayor of Kingstown, a multiple-season crime thriller from Paramount, on October 5th, 2026. This global debut follows the success of SEAL Team earlier this year.
Mayor of Kingstown is co-created by Hugh Dillon and Taylor Sheridan, known for Yellowstone, Tulsa King, and Special Ops: Lioness. Set in a fictionalized Michigan town, the series explores the business of incarceration and the power dynamics between gangs, prisoners, guards, and local police.
The show stars Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky, the unofficial "Mayor" of Kingstown, and a stellar ensemble cast including Dianne Wiest, Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, and Aidan Gillen.
While Taylor Sheridan has moved to Universal, Mayor of Kingstown joins a growing list of Paramount titles licensed by Netflix globally.
