'The Hunting Wives' Lands Early Season 3 Renewal at Netflix
The Hunting Wives has hit its mark — and landed an early renewal.
The Netflix series from Rebecca Cutter, starring Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow, follows a cutthroat yet soapy set of Texas housewives. It has nabbed a season three renewal ahead of season two’s return.
Season two, announced in September, returns Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26) with the original (surviving) cast reprising their roles.
The third season will be another eight episodes, with a release date and cast yet to be announced.
Cutter’s statement implies that, similar to season one, season two could also end on a cliffhanger. (Snow has already teased a big death to come.)
The sexy and binge-y thriller, originally developed for Starz, is a Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment production. It moved to Netflix ahead of Starz’s official split from Lionsgate, becoming the most-viewed streaming series in the U.S.
