Who is Suzie Skinner?
Suzie Skinner is a woman from South Carolina who was previously married to Christopher Skinner, an Army veteran, author, counsellor, and motivational speaker. They had two children together. According to PEOPLE, Suzie worked as a physical therapist in Myrtle Beach and met Chris through his rehabilitation after he became paralysed from the neck down in a car accident involving a drunk driver.
Suzie and Chris were also connected to JP through the church community in Myrtle Beach, and JP presided over Chris' funeral upon his death in September 2021.
What happened to Suzie Skinner’s first husband Chris?
Chris died unexpectedly while swimming in a neighborhood pool in Myrtle Beach in September 2021. He was found unresponsive and taken to the hospital, where he later died from drowning. Initially ruled an accident by police, his death remains under investigation by the Horry County Coroner's Office. While no charges have been brought, officials reopened the case after new evidence emerged.
