'Baby Reindeer' Star Jessica Gunning Returns to Netflix for Dark Comedy Series 'Feral'
TheWrap reports that Emmy-winning actress Jessica Gunning is set to star in Feral, a new dark comedy series on Netflix, based on Shirley Conran's 1987 novel.
Gunning, known for her role as Martha in the acclaimed limited series Baby Reindeer, will play Annie, a sacrificing wife who puts her family first and has put her own ambitions on hold under her controlling husband, Duncan.
The show follows four women who band together to survive on a deadly tropical island after their mining executive husbands are kidnapped. Feral is created by Jude Mack, who also joined Ted Lasso Season 4 as the new goalie. Emma Freeman and Liza Marshall will direct and produce respectively, alongside Laurie Borg.
Since her breakthrough role in Baby Reindeer, Gunning has appeared in films such as The Christophers, Sunny Dancer, and The Magic Faraway Tree. She is represented by Markham, Froggatt and Irwin, UTA, and Untitled. Mack's credits include the shorts Amicable and Bury Your Gays, along with appearances in Ted Lasso, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and Prime Target.
