Aziz Ansari's Next Comedy Special on Netflix
Netflix has announced that it will stream a new hour-long stand-up special from comedian Aziz Ansari in 2027. This special is the fifth to be released on the platform, following Buried Alive, Live at Madison Square Garden, Right Now, and 2022’s Nightclub Comedian. Ansari's critically acclaimed comedy-drama Master of None also ran on Netflix for three seasons from 2015 to 2021, solidifying their relationship.
Ansari, after a film that received mixed reviews, expresses enthusiasm for this upcoming special, stating, "I’m so excited to provide a quote for another press release about one of my projects. ... I believe it’s my best one."
Recent Projects and Upcoming Special
In addition to this announcement, Ansari is currently on tour with Hypothetical Tour, with upcoming performances in New York State. The untitled fifth Netflix special will be filmed at the State Theatre in New Jersey on October 29.
