The upcoming documentary series covering the legendary and controversial career of Mike Tyson officially hits Netflix in October 2026 with an expanded episode count.

Almost two years in the making, Netflix’s brand-new documentary on the legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson is coming on October 13, 2026. The four-part docuseries TYSON will chronicle the incredible life and career of the “Baddest Man on the Planet,” Mike Tyson, through archival footage and interviews with the man himself.
Here’s everything we know about TYSON on Netflix:
Mike Tyson is not only one of the most famous (and infamous) heavyweight boxers of all time but also a significant cultural icon. While he may have been long past his prime, Tyson made headlines in 2024 when he stepped into the ring with Jake Paul in what was Netflix’s first-ever live boxing event, watched by tens of millions globally. Following this historic event, Netflix announced a three-part docuseries titled TYSON, developed by EverWonder Studio, DLP Media Group, and Five All In The Fifth, directed and executive produced by Floyd Russ (Untold: Malice at the Palace).

Subscribers will be pleased to learn that TYSON will consist of four episodes instead of three, allowing for a more comprehensive exploration of Tyson’s life and career.

Netflix’s newest sports series takes an unflinching look at the life of legendary boxer and cultural icon Mike Tyson. From his meteoric rise as the youngest heavyweight champion (at 20 in 1986) to his personal struggles – including incarceration, financial issues, and in-ring controversies – and eventual redemption, this series explores the man behind the gloves.
