Netflix is delving into the mysterious disappearance of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway with its latest documentary series, Taken: Natalee Holloway.

The series, from acclaimed filmmaker Liz Garbus' Story Syndicate, will premiere on November 4. It promises to explore the gripping case that captivated headlines in 2005, when 18-year-old Holloway vanished during a high school graduation trip to Aruba—never to return.

Per the official logline, the documentary will delve into the years-long investigation that followed, the relentless efforts of Holloway's mother, Beth, and the global search for answers. It aims to present a complete narrative, showcasing Beth's unwavering determination to uncover the truth about her daughter's fate.

Taken: Natalee Holloway will feature exclusive access to Beth and those present during her daughter's disappearance.

Directed by Dani Sloane and Matthew Galkin, this three-part series is produced by Story Syndicate alongside Garbus, Sloane, Dan Cogan, Jon Bardin, and Tommy Coriale, who also serve as executive producers.

Sloane shared her enthusiasm: "Growing up in the mid-2000s, it was impossible to turn on the TV or walk by a news stand without seeing Natalee Holloway's face. But beyond the sensational headlines, there's a story of remarkable courage, devotion, and strength... I'm proud to be able to share [it]."

Jon Bardin, President of Documentary and Unscripted at Story Syndicate, added, "We are honored that Beth Holloway has entrusted us with her story and, through it, the story of her daughter, Natalee."
