Netflix inadvertently mocks Charlie Kirk’s death on anniversary of assassination

Netflix drew the attention of social media users after the broadcaster shared a social media update on the anniversary of political activist Charlie Kirk’s death.
The Netflix UK X account shared two images from the show The Gentleman: one depicting Kaya Scodelario’s character Susie Glass, and a second of Theo James’ Eddie Halstead craning his head back to look over his shoulder at her. The streaming giant captioned the post: "Nearly did himself a neck injury."
The post attracted alot of attention from social media users who were quick to point out that the upload had interesting timing—as it came on the same day that Kirk was assassinated a year ago. It comes as Charlie Kirk’s mourners sparked fury with a TPUSA event at his shooting site.
One commented, "WTF is going on netflix is kirkposting. Kirk would be so happy."
A second said, "Not British Netflix taking shots on the Kirkiversary."
A third posted, "What a day to choose that caption. I applaud you."
A fourth social media user commented, "Might wanna rethink that caption Netflix."
A fifth shared, "Holy f—, what is wrong with you? A man died. I hope you lose many subscribers over this."
