Netflix Scores Ratings Hit With ‘Wonka’s The Golden Ticket’

Netflix Ratings Hit: 'Wonka's The Golden Ticket'

Netflix has scored a significant ratings success with its reality series Wonka's The Golden Ticket. The streamer's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed competition show debuted at number two on its English-language TV chart, attracting 4.6 million views in its opening week.

This marks one of Netflix's biggest unscripted launches in recent years, mirroring the success of Love Is Blind season ten, which also garnered 4.6 million views in its inaugural week. Wonka's The Golden Ticket, produced by Eureka, follows 12 golden ticket winners as they enter Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory to compete for a lifetime supply of money.

The series, shot in Australia, presents a series of challenges designed to test the competitors' physical, mental, and moral fortitude. A two-part finale will air on September 30.

With such strong initial viewing figures, Wonka's The Golden Ticket is poised for a potential renewal, especially considering the success of Age of Attraction, another Velvet Hammer dating reality series that received a quick renewal after its debut.
