In the final weeks of this month, Netflix’s schedule spoils fans of animated shows with several releases worth looking forward to.

Here are the highlights:

  • Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 kicks off the animated series mania on September 17. In the second season of Stranger Things’ spin-off, Valentine’s Day approaches in Hawkins, but "the gang must uncover… ghostly apparitions and a swarm of strange creatures causing chaos."

  • One Piece returns for a two-part animated special on September 29 courtesy of LEGO. Luffy and the Straw Hats navigate treacherous waters as the search for the One Piece continues. Each episode is 30 minutes, leaving time to watch the third chapter of the Mononoke movie, The Curse of the Serpent, also premiering that day at 87 minutes.

  • Perhaps most anticipated is a continuation of a saga introduced earlier this year in a double-length special. The series enters its latest saga in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, with Johnny Joestar participating in a race testing his endurance in more ways than one. Steel Ball Run continues Johnny’s quest as the race enters a new stage with new competitors and challenges. New episodes will premiere every Friday.

Netflix is committed to releasing all nine stages, but there will be breaks between them, per the production team’s wishes.
