Rebecca Lowe to Lead Netflix's 2027 Women's World Cup Coverage

Netflix has announced that Rebecca Lowe will serve as the lead host for its coverage of the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil. An award-winning presenter, Lowe is well-known for her work on NBC Sports’ Premier League and Fox Sports' men's World Cup broadcasts.

Securing Lowe is a significant signing for Netflix, which has previously revealed Elle Duncan and Andrés Cantor as part of its team. More names will be added in the coming months.

Netflix will exclusively stream the 2027 and 2031 Women's World Cups in the United States and Canada, marking the first time the tournament will be fully broadcast on a streaming platform.

“To be a part of Netflix as it begins its journey into a live sports tournament for the first time — which is not an easy undertaking — I'm excited to see how we bring these high standards, editorial excellence, excitement, pizzazz and eventizing to a live soccer broadcast,” Lowe shared on Netflix's website.

Netflix will kick off its coverage on December 11 with the World Cup draw at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro.

The 2027 World Cup will run from June 24 to July 25, featuring 32 teams for the last time before expanding to 48 in 2031. Spain returns as the defending champion, while the U.S. women's national team (subject to qualification) seeks redemption after their shocking round-of-16 exit in 2023.
