While Japanese releases might not match the volume of K-dramas on Netflix, 2027 still promises an exciting lineup. Here are some highlights:
- From NEET to Peak (Season 1): A new series starring Wataru Ichinose and Suzu Hirose, following a man's journey out of his home after his mother's terminal diagnosis.
- Parasyte: Tamiya (Season 1): The next chapter in the Parasyte universe, focusing on Ryoko Tamiya, played by Kutsuna Shioli.
- City Hunter 2 (2027): The sequel to the popular live-action adaptation of the manga, based on the beloved Shinjuku-set crime story.
Other anticipated renewals include Last Samurai Standing, Tokyo Swindlers, Sanctuary, and Yu Yu Hakusho.
Note: This is not the complete list of Japanese titles for 2027. More will be announced throughout the year.
